Materials: story book, props

Goal: Students will be able to retell the story with accurate details while viewing props connected to the story elements.

Items: pig stuffed animal, wolf stuffed animal, stick, straw, brick (real or illlustration)

What to do: 1. Teacher selects props pertaining to story details and places them in a bag along with the book.

2. Each item is pulled from the bag and students are asked to explain the relationship between the item and the story.

3. Teacher directs comprehension questions to the group or the class to assess understanding of story elements.
