Paddle Vocabulary

| Goal: Students will increase their vocabulary. |
| Items: Any appropriate vocabulary words from a book or passage. |
What to do
- Identify 3 or 4 vocabulary words.
- Go over the definitions for these words with the class.
- Have the students act out the words.
- The students will write one of the words on a plastic paddle.
- The teacher will give examples of the word in a sentences (i.e. You BASK in the park on a sunny day.) Some of the examples are correct and some are incorrect. If the students thinks the example is correct they raise their paddles with the word on it. Repeat this for all the words.
