| Goal: Given a printed letter, a picture card, and the sound that links the two, the student will learn to identify common letter sounds. | 
| Items: Letters of the alphabet, letter sounds | 
What to do
- Select three or four letters to review.
 - Hold up a letter and a corresponding picture card. I see the letter c. C sounds like /c/. The word cat begins with a c.
 - Have your students repeat the letter, sound, and word. Do this for the other letters you wish to review.
 - Repeat this reinforcement activity for other letters as needed. You may wish to reflect on your students' progress by making notes in an Activity Log.
