Materials: Full size letter cards

Goal: Given a printed letter, a picture card, and the sound that links the two, the student will learn to identify common letter sounds.

Items: Letters of the alphabet, letter sounds

What to do

Select three or four letters to review.
Hold up a letter and a corresponding picture card. I see the letter c. C sounds like /c/. The word cat begins with a c.
Have your students repeat the letter, sound, and word. Do this for the other letters you wish to review.
Repeat this reinforcement activity for other letters as needed. You may wish to reflect on your students' progress by making notes in an Activity Log.
