What to do
- First write all the consonants on the board in blue. Then write all the vowels in blue. Review the letters.
2. Tell a story: Once upon a time, the letter a was walking in the park when two bully consonants came to stand on either side of the vowel. The mean consonants squeeze the vowel, the vowel can no longer say their name, but instead the short sound of the vowel.
