About this activity
A lot of prefix and suffix teaching materials give the definitions of the prefixes and suffixes before any activities are done. However, I like to focus on encouraging my students to use clues to figure out for themselves what words and parts of words mean. This skill will be more useful for them in the future than simply memorizing lists of prefixes and suffixes. The worksheet attached can be modified for many different prefixes and suffixes.
